GRISM - Linux Stock Market Tool

GRISM is a simple to use stock market tool. It makes it easy to monitor stock prices using charts, setting up watchlists and creating your own portfolio. GRISM resides on your computer and contains whatever stock info you wish to enter, making it more secure and private then listing your portfolio someplace online. Click the image above to see a better view of what the software looks like.

GRISM makes use of Yahoo Finance to pull quote data. You can track stocks, ETFs, mutual funds and more. All that is needed is the appropriate ticker symbol.

This program is not located in Synaptic or in the Ubuntu Software Center, so you will have to download and install the DEB file from their website. Please go to GRISMs website for more info such as features, screenshots and documentation.

Since I use this app daily, I decided to make a Faenza Style icon for GRISM (actually two). Right click to save each one...

  1. Not all the time no one can win the match of stock market trade , humans are bounded with emotions and personal affairs that makes them to take wrong decisions at right time even though they are masters of trade. Markets dramatically change they their flow and no one exactly produce or expect 100% from their profits . Choosing the right indicator or analyzing software blended with human aspect gives better results.

  4. Sims - I was unable to get this working in 11.10 as it looks like GRISM needs Gnome 2 to function properly. Im sure there is a way around it, but I have no idea.
