Elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya Update

On December 10th, Elementary announced the release of the elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya computer operating system.

This new release 0.3.2 of Freya improves the support for 64-bit UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) and SecureBoot systems, as well as machines running BIOS and Legacy Boot, fixing the dreaded GRUB boot error has finally been patched.

There are some new user-visible features as well implemented in elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya. Lots of updates to the Applications Menu, which now lists the Settings separately from the applications during searches. It returns search results for actions from applications' quicklists, such as Scratch's "New Document" or Geary's "Compose Message."

The Archive Manager and Font Viewer utilities were hidden from the Applications Menu, but users can access them via the Files file manager and the built-in search engine. Other minor visual issues related to dark applications have been fixed, along with refinements to panel's and windows' shadows.

The elementary developers also managed to add improvements to the internationalization support in elementary OS, including the addition of 22 new language translations.

Existing Elementary OS 0.3 Freya users can easily upgrade to version 0.3.2 just by running the Software Updater utility and applying all available updates. Those of you new to Elementary OS can download the Elementary OS 0.3.2 Freya release right now via the project's website link below...
